Investment

Recent investment in new induction billet heating allows for closer toleranced forgings, these are finished by further metal forming or CNC machining which permits more complex parts to be produced. Threads are either rolled or CNC machined as per the specification or customer requirement. Our in-house toolroom and EDM provides a fast turnaround on tooling manufacture to meet customers special order requirements.

Heat Treatment

Our in-house Heat Treatment facilities are atmosphere controlled to ensure that parts are within tolerance limits for decarburisation and carburisation. This ENDOMIX™ atmosphere system is managed and continuously monitored by BOC. Heat treatment plant consists of two sealed quench batch furnaces for larger products and one fully automated shaker hearth line for smaller, high volume products of less than 20mm diameter. Other in-plant facilities include phosphate coating and subsequent de-embrittlement. Most plating finishes can be offered through sub-contractors to the required specification with post heat treatment.
